It is a treat to welcome Dinée Dorame to the Suite Run Podcast! Dinée is a longtime runner and host of her podcast the Grounded Podcast with Dinée Dorame. Dinée is also a Yale University Alumni and the Associate Director of College Horizons, a national non-profit supporting Native students.
In this conversation, we talk with Dinée about her journey into running, her time at Yale and starting her podcast. Then we change lanes and dive into the stunning beauty of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Dinée shares all the good things about her city, including the best places to RUN, refuel, amazing places to catch a New Mexican sunset, the best races and so much more.

Dinée's recommendations for Albuquerque, NM:
RUN
1. The Bosque Path (Over 20 miles of flat, beautiful running with a dirt trail option. You can run, bike or walk along the Rio Grande River and the bike trail is separate from the running trail.)
2. La Luz Trail (this is a famous trail race as well as a trail at the base of the Sandia Mountains. Lots of great places to trail run here).
3. University of New Mexico Golf Course (easy two mile course - a dirt path in the middle of the city).
DINING OUT
1. Monroe's Restaurant (known for their red chile enchiladas)
2. El Patio (great food and is near the University of New Mexico campus)
3. Los Cuates (great margaritas!)
4. Frontier Restaurant (a famous place to dine out in the middle of the city. Order the breakfast burrito with green chile and a cinnamon roll!)
STAY
1. Hotel Andaluz (located downtown)
2. Old Town Albuquerque is a great place in the city to stay in a hotel or Air BnB.
RACES
1. La Luz Trail Run
2. Duke City Marathon (they also have a 5k, 10k and half marathon. This is a big race in Albuquerque)

1. Balloon Fiesta (a famous event that takes places every October)
2. Don't miss a beautiful New Mexican sunset. Go to the Hotel Park Central and have a Prickly Pear margarita on the rooftop. Priceless!)
