Running is easy around the Pasea Hotel in the small town of Huntington Beach. First off, HB is a quiet beach town in Orange County, California on the water. The property is on Pacific Coast Highway across the street from the beautiful wide beach.

The route selected for this area is a simple out and back along the beach. You'll enjoy the open running path on the street bluff just above the sand. Free from cars and bikes this path offers virtually care free running. Water fountains and bathrooms are right off the path in case you need a break. Definitely bring a sunglasses, sunblock and a hat or visor. The unobstructed ocean view means no shade trees here.

An asphalt running path on the beach is a nice change from the usual concrete in other beach cities. Outside of summer high season bustle or a local festival this is a pretty sleepy town. Expect congestion free miles.

There are plenty of walkable streets full of shopping and dining when you are not logging miles and enjoying the beautiful Pacific ocean.
